What Is the Difference Between Full, Double & Queen Sheets?
As the name suggests, full, double, and queen size sheets are dependent on the size of the mattresses. The size may differ from brand to brand, full sheets from one company are comparable in size to double-sheets by another. In general, full and double both describe sheets for a particular bed size, a queen size sheet is specially designed for a queen-size bed. While the full size and queen sheets are close in size, but the queen is always wider and longer than the full, and the fit is not proper.
Full or Double sheets
It is important to learn that full or double beds vary in size from brands to brands or even the design or style. You can have them for mattress size that is 54 inches wide and 75 inches long.

Queen size sheets
A queen-sized mattress is wider and longer than the standard mattress and so are the sheets. Normally, a queen mattress is 60 inches wide 80 inches long and the sheets are curated to fit the dimensions. Manufacturers normally keep flat queen size sheets for dimensions, 90 inches wide and the length measuring to 102. Even in the case of queen size sheets, style and design play an important role in the measurement.
Fitted vs full sheet
No matter the sheet size, the two important concepts that count when buying sheets for your beds are fitted and full sheets. A fitted sheet is meant to cover your mattress, and it creates a snug fit in response to how it looks on your bed. You can have each corner being tuck around and under the corner of the bed. This assures that the sheet is secured on the bed even if the sleeper tosses.
A flat sheet or top sheet can be placed on top of the fitted sheet and repose in between the sleeper and the blanket. The only purpose of the flat sheet is to offer a cozy feeling. It is a way to help your bed from getting dirty. It is not compulsory to use a flat sheet as some people don’t like the concept as it adds to the bed making process.
